12/04/2008 - Santa Clara, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nate Clements missed his second day of practice with a thumb injury and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Injured in last week's win over Buffalo, Clements is currently questionable for Sunday.
"We're just going to take it forward and see how it works," 49ers head coach Mike Singletary said. "But everything from the medical staff, questionable."
If Clements is unable to go, Donald Strickland is the probable replacement at cornerback.
"(Strickland) has the maturity and toughness and he's proven he could do it," Singletary said. "So in my mind, that would be the logical answer."
On the season, Clements has 48 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble in 12 games. Strickland has 31 tackles and a forced fumble this season in 10 games, including two starts.
